np. I'm just always thinking about what the higher-ups in the IDF are thinking right now. They understand very well that the reality on the ground isn't so good right now and that their attempt to destabilize or even regime-change Iran didn't work. Of course, the obvious and easiest answer right now is to hop right back into bombing Gaza again but that's just more of the same- it's just a waste of time, resources, and money. Meanwhile, they see Iran getting ready for another fight and the Arab states around them becoming more wary of them since their bombing of Doha, even if it was all orchestrated before hand. International pressure is likely to only increase or at the very least stay the same, and Hezbollah is just lurking up north gathering strength.
It's safe to say therefore, that what Israel is looking for the most right now is more time. Bibi especially as he is in a special situation with all the charges against him. His opposition around the world and here in the US doesn't matter that much in the short-term, and he has already succeeded in accelerating the timeframe for a showdown between Iran v. the Israel block. Without time, they won't be able to replenish their weapons used during the Gaza offensives and their little spat with Iran. The split between Israel and the U.S. is inevitable and Bibi is very aware of this as he tried making a case for Israel becoming a "Super-Sparta economy".

The speech didn't turn out well-received but this is the only feasible path Israel has if they are to survive as a true pariah, sanctioned and unable to trade freely with the rest of the world. Right now we're seeing mostly symbolic and diplomatic gestures, but if America is unable or unwilling to cover for them, it's basically over. Iran winning another conflict with Israel in the meantime and potentially inflicting much more damage on their infrastructure would only hasten the timeline.
