It's impossible for a fungal disease to be transferrable from ants to humans.
For context, a human sized ant would quickly curl up and die. A disease specifically effecting it would never magically infect humans, and the game opens on that premise. It's retarded and far moreso than a majority of other things in the game.
In fact, TLOU2 is the more logically consistent title of the two simply because it puts no focus on the dumb science shit. TLOU1 wants you to accept
>a disease for ants transferring to humans overnight
>said disease transferring only through air (and bits because... lololololol)
>the US government failing to control spread of said disease despite having no issue killing civilians in the earliest stages of said outbreak
>Joel having a lumberjack build despite subsisting on low quality government handouts and... "pills" (maybe it is possible)
>the US government falling apart and many of their outposts going abandoned after only about 20 years
>civilian outposts being essentially non-existent in that time outside of exactly two
>there being so many traveling bandit groups that seemingly have populations in the hundreds, when logically they would mark territory and stay in one spot
>the fireflies being the ONLY group to fight the government and not only STILL existing but being the ONLY group to have a fully functional hospital equipped with medical staff
>there being only one cannibal group
>the vaccine logic
TLOU1 is a black hole of shit like that. All TLOU2 wants me to accept is a woman got huge essentially.
Either way, Resident Evil did this type of scenario infinitely better with far more sound logic, so I don't give a shit.
