It's like that "just leave women alone in public discourse". They're imagining they're fighting against creepy dudes when they're making those memes. It doesn't occur them that actual sex pests don't give a shit about their feminist memes, they're just going to give normal guys a complex about talking to women.

I worked downtown in a big US city in the mid 10's and the media was really selective when covering protests. There was a May Day and anti-deportation protest and the media had tons of photographers and drones in the crowd. Most of the protesters had Mexican flags with a sizable number of anarchist and USSR flags. The official news stories the next day beeline for the handful of people carrying American flags.
