Fun fact, the "Shift" AKA the mass produced evil rune machines Lynette created in RF1 to cause most of the bad shit in the plot and give Proto-Terrable a really bad morning were actually within RF4's game files. But remained unused in-game.

RF4 probably had more intended callbacks to the events of RF1 before cutting down on it.
