I switched linux distro, backed up my old X-Plane 12 install and then tried to activate it on the new distro but the X-Plane 12 installer is so retarded that it doesn't allow using an existing X-Plane install so I have to just scrap the backup and let the installer download everything again. This is stupid.
Curious to see if there's a performance improvement in X-Plane between debian and gentoo. For some reason gentoo feels snappier overall and I had some stutter issues in X-Plane before...

It's been done. Bye debian... Interestingly a small random lagg spike issue is gone now. Biggest hurdle was finding new wallpapers. Portage seems to be pretty slow at installing binary packages (binhost), I installed GIMP with -g flag and it installs the dependencies one at a time, no parallelism.
