Why are there so many 'retro' filters/checkpoints that can give characters 'retro' proportions but can't really make anything look like a celluloid scan, artwork, or how any Blu-ray of an old anime looks?

Every time I try a checkpoint, I have to play around for a day to see if it can understand what 'traditional media' is (one of them is fucking NTR for god sake)
