I used every weapon save hammer. Dagger is good for penetrating through armor but is ultimately irrelevant if you have a high enough CS to ignore it entirely. Spear is fantastic for positioning and has aimed torso for armor busting, but it doesn't do that damage unless you two hand. Axe is just fucking brutal and will deal some of the biggest damage, one hand or two hand. Crossbows are only good with the right positioning or a hand crossbow in each belt slot to fire off a one man volley. Bows can deal insane fucking damage but require way too much investment for even passable use.

Sword remains the best because you can do ridiculous damage even without DoTs at the lowest strength you can go with. Axes are a close second because my fucking god can they annihilate enemies.
