You know Regongar and Octavia could've been great characters if their whole "free love" thing was just them dealing with the trauma and horror of being slaves, a way to rationalize the fact that, due to being no better than owned livestock free to be passed around to any of their masters or masters clients, they had no choice in the matter and never could be exclusive to begin with. That would've actually been an interesting character arc, and at the end they realize they can be fully monogamous and happy with one another since they will never be slaves again. Too bad Owlcat lacks the writing talent to create content like that and instead they're happy being abused and broken creatures because it's so progressive and open minded to have open relationships, or something. Anton Zerbre is important for homebrew games of the TTRPG, he's a linchpin in a bunch of campaigns. Maaaaaybe I can see some endings where he dies, but Owlcat will not be able to pull a Theodora with him

Does GS really offer any bonus other than going first? I hardly ever used any control area besides combat. locus and frontline. I heard BH Pasqal is great but I find BH's gimmick really fucking annoying.

Finally got through the drow ambush. Who would've known that pre-casting all my buffs, pre-drinking all my potions and pre-cognising that I need to attack first makes the encounter trivial? Wowie it's almost like it didn't need to be in the game.

I love levelling up my characters and unlocking new abilities.
It feels great to return to difficult areas and crush enemies and bosses that had formerly caused me a great deal of pain.

The longest CRPG I have ever played is Pathfinder: Kingmaker. It took me 110 hours from start to finish on one character.

I certainly recommend Kingmaker if you enjoy CRPGs. The guy you are thinking about really isn't that big of a deal so that particular spoiler isn't serious.

I used every weapon save hammer. Dagger is good for penetrating through armor but is ultimately irrelevant if you have a high enough CS to ignore it entirely. Spear is fantastic for positioning and has aimed torso for armor busting, but it doesn't do that damage unless you two hand. Axe is just fucking brutal and will deal some of the biggest damage, one hand or two hand. Crossbows are only good with the right positioning or a hand crossbow in each belt slot to fire off a one man volley. Bows can deal insane fucking damage but require way too much investment for even passable use.

Sword remains the best because you can do ridiculous damage even without DoTs at the lowest strength you can go with. Axes are a close second because my fucking god can they annihilate enemies.

Dungeon Rats and AoD hardly even have the same combat. Swords can whirlwhind too if that's what you're on about. AoD's axes deal increased critical damage where they damaged strength last I checked in Dungeon Rats. Hammers don't have knockdown in AoD.

it was a two sided nerf because it ruined axes while making the enemy axes better by fucking with your resource management. I did an iron man dungeon rats run successfully, but ironman solo was too hard (though i could have done it without ironman).

kingmaker was pretty good about letting you kill every one and be a nig. there was only one time some dude showed up and insulted me in my throne room, and i couldn't kill him. thankfully i could kill him later

Why am I stuck with only a limited number of stats to pick from as I lvl up in Rogue trader? I can pick from a set number of stats and fellowship (Noble with soldier archetype) meanwhile argenta has the same but instead of fellowship it's willpower. Why not just list them all out?

Idira is an IQ test. Average owlslop fan blows themself up giving out +9% dodge then haves a temper tantrum. Their WEG brains can't conceive just limiting themselves to one attack until they can pass the resistance test to summon a demon 100% of the time - let alone a high veil degradation party

I like idira but its your game so do whatever you want. I can't tell if I'm lucky or incredibly basic to have had idira and argenta be in my party from start to finish and stumble into their freindship route.

The sword increases veil degradation.
Veil degradation increases perils chance.
Perils increases psy rating.
Psy rating increases everything.

Because you're going to be maxed out at 20 veil, you're essentially getting 20% extra damage per point of psy rating. If you're spamming psyker powers you're going to be stacking 3-5 extra psy rating every turn until end of combat.

I don't need any other gear that increases psy rating or dps anymore. These two items alone catapult you into hundreds of damage. This is great for my solo run because it means I can devote all my other inventory slots to survivability.

This isn't exactly true. I forget the mechanics but there's a priority list enemies go down, part of it is who they see. At the end of the list is always the KC, which feels stupid but that's what it is and you might notice the KC getting "unfairly" targetted over the course of a game.

One thing they'll do is target very low AC, so absolutely dumping and not doing the bare minimum of mage armor + barkskin on casters is just asking for trouble.
You could look up how the targeting works, but that's almost certainly what's going on, your backline is just too juicy a target.

I've been playing KOTOR2 recently and it actually pisses me off when I get the levelup indicator on my main character because of completely unnecessary exp autism.
Areas spawn enemies with a CR appropriate for the main character when you first enter them, so if you level up at the beginning of a combat-heavy area the entire rest of the zone is full of enemies that now give reduced experience. It's also based on exp thresholds for levelling up, not your literal levels, so holding levelups doesn't solve anything.
Conversely, areas where your party members spawn without your main character give significantly increased exp because their challenge ratings are based on your main character's level, which is always 1-2 higher than the rest of your party.
I must have done 15+ playthroughs of this game and it's the first time I've actually cared about this and I hate it.

Also seems basically impossible to not have the Legion take back sectors occasionally. With two teams they just come up with too many paths that are potentially far away from you, and training militia x4 takes quite a while, 2 days I think? And you really need x8 anyhow. Then some die every combat...
But, it's not the worst. As we chip away it becomes easier to defend what we have, and more sectors = more loyalty = more money. Currently sitting on 63k with +3k per day and that's with two full squads, so money isn't a problem anymore, basically.

One of a number of things I'd like to have, is more things similar to training militia. Spending time/money to improve fortifications, maybe choosing a bit how they train, out of a couple archetypes. It's nice that they have a chance to go from recruit->veteran->elite though.

You already have Sendri as a full caster and wizards only get really good at later levels, early game you'll just be a grease machine and lots of enemies will be immune to trip. If you still want to feel like a caster slinging spells at enemies why not try a Kineticist? They're pretty decent early game and they can damage those fucking swarms in the caves.

Golden Dragon is most likely stronger than any other Mythic.
They're like Liches except without the usual downsides.
They live longer than elves, are wiser than smartest of liches. Theoretically Golden Dragon has the greatest Powercap without going divine.
In DND's lore, the strongest non-divine entity is a Dragon Lich. I'm not sure about Pathfinder but Daurgothoth in DND can BTFO all the Mystra's chosen(local Mary Sues) simultaneously without going physical on them.

I have to give credit where it's due, trying to run through CS without ticking off everyone is remarkably trying. Nobody really knows what they want, but they sure know what they don't want, so you catch plenty of flak trying to thread the needle.

I just realized the reason why combat feels so slow in CS is because every enemy has way too much armor on every area you can attack them in. This feels so satisfying and speedy because you don't have much armor and crits completely ignore even heavy armor complete with major debuffs other than -10 to aim or evasion
