Nomura only had a chance to make one FF game and he was sabotaged from Day 1 of SE demanding a trailer when he had nothing ready, and then refusing to let him have a full team or budget for years.

He's old now and does not have the same spark as then, we probably missed the only opportunity to see what could have done for the series
