It still lasted for 3 hours though and leaks suggest Russia actually limited it's demands (just to Donbas and Luhansk) for the first time in last few years. This could be considered success, enough to continue meeting according to diplomatic protocol.

However there was no Q&A and lunch after, which means something unexpected happened and not in pleasant way.
