I like collecting watches, but, as many before me, I reached the conclusion that I don't want to regularly wear more than three watches. In fact, I end up wearing pic related for the vast majority of the year. So much so that other watches feel "off" to me. When I hear or read or think "watch", I associate it with the feeling of the white birch. It's probably a sign of me having found what I'm looking for in life and have no need to look no further.
I still enjoy reading and talking about watches, about innovations or clever designs, but I stopped thinking of acquiring another one.
Friends of mine have done kinda the same. One is wearing his Tank and Santos back to back while he owns at least 30 watches in his collection, another one is wearing exclusively his orient, and I haven't see another friend of mine wear anything but his panerai carbon for at least 6 months now.
Is that what "exiting the game" feels like?
I only wear my moser on special occasions and my tudor when I'm doing rough things like mountain hikes or sports.
