I think you might be on to something, prior to termina the series was not talked about near as much. post termina, the Miro disc was having all sorts of oversharing traumadumping nonbinary 25 year olds talking about how stressed they are because of anxiety attacks while working their first day at mcdonalds.

I am convinced that Samarie was supposed to be the troon and Marina was the biofem, but Miro reversed the genders somewhere along the way because it would hit too close to home if it turned out like that.

anyway fwiw i dont even have an issue with marina because of how it makes sense in setting and its not overtly shoved in my face, unlike virtually every any other game or media form that has troons in it.
