He's right, but nobody wants to admit it.
$60 has been the price standard since fucking 2005. Meanwhile, development costs have EXPONENTIALLY skyrockted since the 7th gen. It hasn't been sustainable, and there's no counterargument to these facts.

I've always said I'm fine paying premium prices for games if they don't contain DLC and MTX monetization bullshit. Problem is, that pandora's box of cancer has been opened and is never going away. Stuff like Mario Kart World and Donkey Kong costing $70-$80 is fine by my book since they aren't laced with monetization bullshit. Expensive games used to cost more in the 80s and 90s (e.g. Phantasy Star 4), yet for some reason the industry just stopped having variable pricing.

It was retarded there was IMMENSE outrage over Nintendo raising game prices. Meanwhile, retards don't blink an eye at Western AAA games charging $60-$70 and still lacing their games with cancerous post-launch monetization, like cosmetic shops and battle passes.
