i use two regular ksamplers,
there are two methods
>first pass, decode, image upscale, encode, second pass
>first pass, latent upscale, second pass

image upscale is good for your clean upscales. latent upscale allows the image to change more, which could be good or bad

the trick is to adjust denoise or use a controlnet in between the samplers to avoid artifacts

i use the latent upscale with controlnet and a low denoise and i think it works well for the styles i normally use. i like the way it affects the lineart and makes it look more rough with the right prompts
