I had HD598 now HD660S2 and to be quite honest family the sound quality is at least two steps ahead. Better clarity, tonality, "less diffused soundstage" but at the same time sounds somehow wider than HD598 with holographic presentation (I would describe a "holographic" as some sound cues that feels like they are in their own sound bubble in rendered 3D sound space)

Sounds overall fuller in low bass and have that mid range magic without being harsh, I feel after 6 hours of vidya or listening to music like a refreshed man, like after a good massage to my neurons, stress relieved.

There is requirement tho: It needs and AMP to fully shine, I have tried with apple dongle and sounded in slow motion and under a blanket.
