It did have one inadvertent positive benefit. When Marv Wolfman wrote a story for the DC anthology series The House of Secrets, the issue's framing device had the host, Abel, comment that he heard it from a "wandering Wolfman". The Code mistook this for a mention of a werewolf and flagged it. When the editorial staff told them that the story was written by someone actually named Wolfman, the code allowed it on the condition that he be clearly credited as the writer. Other DC writers complained about Wolfman giving them special consideration, so to placate them, the management decided to properly credit all writers going forward.
