I started with keto diet first, toughest 3 weeks of my life as my body went through sugar withdrawal. After 3 weeks though it was smooth sailing. Didnt feel hunger at all, had to remember to eat, the signal was weakness or dizziness. After 3 months i incorporated fasting and the weight melted off.
6 months total went from 15.5 stone to 11.5 stone, or 217 lbs to 161lbs.
Anon is correct about fasting, from day 3 onwards hunger is not an issue.
Some other benefits i noticed
Better skin, better hair, more energy, more sociable, inproved mentality, and the strangest one that nobody ever believes. From month 2 till i finished, whenever i needed to shit, i didnt need to wipe. I still did but for 4 months it came up clean. Thats ultimately what convinced me that keto is our natural diet. Oretty sure our shit is supposed to have a lipid casing that prevents smearage
