DC makes modern myths about titanic heroes battling for the soul of reality and the goodness of all, whereas Marvel prefers to zoom in on the smaller stories about people just trying to live thier lives in a chaotic world. One deals with ideals, the other delves into realism.

Then there's Image Comics, but we dont talk about Image Comics......
