wow, you really gave it a try. i like greger but he misses the forest for the trees a lot. mcdougall breaks it down. he really lays it out, how starch is king and it's what you need. greger seems to imply that you can just eat watery salads all day and somehow be satisfied. he is also shitty about salt which i disagree with as well.
it's not like you are missing out with not eating beans, there really is no need to choke them down if they make you feel like shit. broccoli is high in protein oddly enough. you will never be protein deficient if you get enough calories via whole food starches or even bread.
