Poorfag who is also hoardfag who's saving to ensure he gets his swimsuit hag here. I used all the launch freebies on the Kitasan banner and had to spark to get her, never even got teased with a SSR Satono in the mix. That experience and seeing the dollars to carat conversion is enough to convince me to be wary of throwing money into this UNLESS I know what I'm even building towards. Even if Kitasan and Super Creek are safe meta choices for minimum 1 or even 2 years, I know just because you throw money to get more pulls doesn't mean you even guarantee what you are pulling within whatever budget you put in. I already put enough risk rolling triple rainbows at 55% failure risk, I don't need actual money involved with that kek.
You also did consider that the main reward in CM is an extra 10-roll, right? You get a shitload of monies and a few fun things like more SP, more statues, and a variance of tickets and titles, sure, but that tradeoff with spending $100 or $500 or more for that seems bewildering to me. I only joined graded because the losing rewards were better, I eked out 2 wins over 6 tickets with some umas I use in TT, two of them definitely not meant for this CM since lmao wit game, but the fact I even won once was funny. But I find that kind of thing enjoyable, anything involving money would detract from that.

TL;DR I immediately knew what I was getting into at launch, set up my expectations, and focus on umas I like because cute. Don't aim to be overly competitive/a metadrone, you're not going to find lasting fun with that approach and your wallet will especially not like it.
