My internet provider gave me access to an AI that costs 50 bucks a month but I get a year for free to test it. I've tried to use it for work a couple of times. I ask it to write code, it's horrible and I spend more time guiding it and fixing it when it can't understand than it would cost me to write it myself. I've asked it about some stuff I'm interested in and it constantly hallucinates shit, it's extremely untrustworthy. I ask it to draw some lines on an image here and there and make this part green then I desist after ten minutes. Anyways, I saw Fabiolo talk up the alchemy events so I said hey let's use AI to compare alchemy and draft payouts. It's tricky because it's not direct to translate a pack to gems or gold and alchemy gives a play point for 7 wins but I thought maybe it could say at this winrate the value of a play point and a pack should be this much for things to be equal. So I go check the payouts and entry fees, spend some time triple checking I got them right and ask the AI. This piece of shit checks reddit and mtg arena zone and informs me that authoritative sources say that to go infinite you need 68–71% for Premier draft, ~70–75% for Alchemy, ~75% for Quick Draft. So I say hey stupid slut I'll break your knees, I don't want you to use sources, I expect you to do calculations that's why I spent time searching to feed you the exact numbers. And it fucking breaks. I can do this with a spreadsheet but it's going to take me like 30 minutes - 1 hour so not today. I'll do it but next week and I'll compare it with working at McDonalds because sometimes people talk about it like an actual grindjob, the experience itself is supposed to be fun and I think people sometimes forget it in these conversations. Also, neural networks are great but bearish as fuck on this LLM chatbot shit, if it takes away your job, they're going to have to hire 5 seniors to fix everything the holy love of the machine breaks and then they're going to beg you to come back.
