I don't know why anyone is so resistant to the idea that Kris is Deltarune's counterpart to Chara. They really couldn't make it any clearer short of giving them the same name.
That doesn't necessarily imply anything about Kris or Chara as characters, they're two different people who have lived different lives, but they're obviously playing a similar role and share a lot of traits. We barely know anything about Chara anyway, I don't know what people are trying to defend here.
