He's not wearing a vest. You can't conceal one under a t-shirt. It would be the first thing you notice looking at him. It doesn't even conceal well under a button down, and I'm talking soft vests. Something that could make a bullet "bounce off" would be hard plate armor that would definitely be visible through a t-shirt. Bullets don't typically do that unless it's steel armor at close range at certain angles. He was not fucking wearing invisible steel armor under his t-shirt. The bullet hit him in the neck and it's a consistent entry wound with the hunting rifle they described. You can look up hunting videos to see, and ironically Charlie was a hunter who did that to many animals. It did not appear to be an exit wound from being shot from behind with a handgun. Police would've already noted that if there were burn marks and an entry wound on the back of his neck.

He really did get sniper and died rather quickly. The pain is what put him down and the operational amount of blood his brain needed rushed out rather quickly. He felt extreme pain and passed out.
