I thought it was very boring.
It probably blew your fucking mind if you were 10 playing it as your first rpg on the gba, to the point where you keep putting it on your recommended lists despite not having played it in 20 years.

Never trust a rec list from someone who grew up with the console, there's always a bunch of boring shit on there just because they played it when they were 10 and being able to move a character blew their dumbass mind and then they didn't even finish the game.

Pic unrelated.

>Blaze is better written
Debatable. Blaze’s arc in Sonic Rush is solid, but Shadow’s SA2 and Shadow the Hedgehog (yes, even with the edge) explore way more nuanced themes.

>Isn’t the same species
Irrelevant. Species diversity doesn’t automatically make a character better. Shadow’s ties to Black Doom and Gerald’s lore are way more integral to the series’ worldbuilding than Blaze being a "tsundere cat."

>Good antagonist (Eggman Nega)
Nega’s just Diet Eggman with multiverse gimmicks. Shadow’s rivalries with Sonic, Mephiles, and even Black Doom (literal blood ties) are way meatier.

>Confined to her own world
That’s why she’s less relevant. Shadow’s ties to Gerald, ARK, and Team Dark give him stakes in the main universe. Blaze is stuck in the "Sol Dimension" ghetto, only trotted out for fanservice or Rush callbacks.

>06 ruined Shadow
06 ruined everyone, but Shadow’s later appearances fixed his character. Meanwhile, Blaze’s last major role was Rush Adventure she’s been relegated to spin-offs and cameos.

>Shackled to Silver
Silver’s the one who got better. Meanwhile, Blaze’s entire personality post-Rush is "stoic fire lady who occasionally blushes"

tldr: Blazefags are still seething and doing anything to glaze their little leech waifu, but Shadow’s lore, impact, and evolution blow her out of the water, Sol Dimension shill
