The case of Blue Demon is very different and much more interesting. To begin with, he is NOT really the biological son of the original Blue Demon, he was adopted. Unlike El Hijo del Santo, he has done an excellent work in the ring over the years. People respect him and love him, because he has had a good career throughout the country and in all the companies, managing to deliver some moments where he has managed to look quite badass even at his age.

A couple of years ago Blue Demon's biological family tried to take away the name the image from him ((they still want easy and free money for copyrights). However, they did'nt succeed, and Blue Demon Jr is already preparing his heir to receive the legacy.

So perhaps the next Blue Demon won't have the same blood as the original, but at least he'll have the same love and respect for both the mask and wrestling unlike the legacy of El Santo since the son of El Hijo del Santo isn't interested in his legacy nor in being a wrestler
