I like to think there are plenty of non-hostile spiritual entities around. While demons are pretty firmly defined as malicious at least in the anglosphere, "angel" even biblically is more of a catch-all term for spiritual beings created for various tasks, not all of them necessarily centered around Eden or tard-wrangling humanity. And "toga dude with white wings" is just an artistic interpretation that popped up centuries after Christ.
So technically, I don't think holy texts outright deny, for instance, the Fey or Shintoist kami. And I'm not just saying that because I want a kitsune gf.
