I like action but most shounen start off well and turn out to be incredibly boring and dragging after a short while so I am just not engaged. Also most modern shounen feature m/f mains and generally a lot of female character and have a serious lack of any proper chemistry. Think the last shounen I genuinely enjoyed and finished were Golden Kamuy and Dorohedoro and both have ended like six years ago or something.

Also too many shounen have loud, annoying brat MCs or naive little kids and I am allergic to both. Wish there was more variety among modern big shounen.
