A problem with E7 is that the supporting cast is realistically irrational at times, like they are just dicks. But the show doesn't really give them enough scenes for us to forgive their dickness and it just feels like bullying for no fucking reason. Which is realistic but can be narratively unsatisfying, especially when the show wants you to root for them to save the world.

All the tormenting does make the little victories that Renton gets from time to time endearing even if they are as small as rubbing shoulders with your crush.
