I like low profile also, especially the keyboard on my old dell e6410. I am just so fast with it. But I also like my newly-assembled split board because my thumbs fatigue on the laptop keyboard (am a heavy user of left and right alt).
I have recently started using a tbk mini (a 3x6+3 small dactyl), and while there's some discomfort, I suppose it's just a starting period, and the "flow" isn't so great yet, I will just stick to it and these problems will go away I think. At least I am 90% at the old speed, after only one week, which is apparently a fast adaptation.
That said, while I dig the keywell, I can't help but look at corne-ish zen with its choc switches and just wonder at its magnificence. Can't help but think of trying Gateron Low Profiles at some point with an even smaller dactyl, such as Tightyl.
