>write an intro only for the Dawnguard
>that obviously means they only intended the Volkihar path!
Do you not understand that if that were the case, the Volkihar intro would've been worked on first and destroying the Dawnguard would've been a main quest in their path instead of a side quest like it is in the final game? Like >>719019381 said the Dawnguard path is by far the one that got the most effort put into it. There's a clear escalation of threats, an unsure alliance by who came across from the get go as a "nice vampire", a rebuilding of a fort, a rescuing of a moth priest, an infiltration of the enemy stronghold, player freedom when gaining access to the Soul Cairn and a final assault with all your allies by your side. Versus the Volkihar path where it's the same missions so you get vampire vs vampire dungeons, Serana decides to stick around the father she dislikes solely because of you, a brand new vampire that still accepted the Volkihar gift and thus can't be that good morally, the Castle is static, the moth priest's dialogue barely changes once he's made a thrall so his cadence is still that of afriend and not a slave like in the few lines they did change, infiltrating Valerica's study feels lesser because the Castle is your headquarters as it is, there's no choice to be had in the Soul Cairn and the ending still railroads you into fighting Harkon, forgetting the Dawnguard entirely even when the DLC started with them and is named after them. Thinking the Volkihar path is meant to be the main one is fucking wild.
