The Inverted Hermeneutic is a storytelling method by (((Freemasons))) that retells the story of the Azazel (the Antichrist) and Semjaza (Satan) from the (first) book of Enoch. Masons supposedly had access to this book since Hiram Abiff and the construction of Solomon's temple. The scene from Raiders of the Lost Ark where Indy descends into the Well of Souls is the descent of Abiff into the caverns beneath the Temple Mount, where he finds said book. The first adaptation is The Man Who Would Be King (novella and later film). Other characteristics of these figures are drawn from other sources (eg the Bible, Islamic Eschatology). The most commonly recurring figure is Azazel, whom the Masons worship in place of his superior and sometimes father, Lucifer. Among the manifestations of the figure are John Wick, Nolan's Joker, Captain Jack Sparrow, Captain America, Jason Bourne, and off course Han Solo. In connection with this character, you may find Satan. In opposition to him, you may find Jesus, who works for a more powerful father figure (God the Father) at the head of a very powerful organization (kingdom of heaven). Other characters that pop up are Eve (as in Adam's wife), Lilith (Adam's first wife), Mary the Mother of Jesus, and Mary Magdalene, consort of Jesus. Star Wars uses this on top of a jewish revenge fantasy against the Roman (Galactic) Empire.
