I'm thinking Hoyo just has no idea how to write self inserts. Other characters keep kissing TB's ass telling us how heroic and important we are while TB is never shown to have agency in their actions. TB just go where people tell them to go and do as they're told. It's all Herta and the Heirs doing shit to drive the plot forward. We aren't important, they are.
