when the last ice age ended 250,000,000 cubic kilometers of ice that was pressing down the continental crust of north America melted, possibly in under 24 hours... the crust pushed down in north America caused the thin crust below the oceans to rise up. the area your looking at has alot of islands that would have gotten marginally larger from sea level decreasing but look to the south indian ocean for continents that sunk.
