It's not the same kind of thing. Food in the Philippines has a specific set of local ingredients that aren't used in the same combinations anywhere else.
Italy has lots of really good calamari, but something like inihaw na pusit (grilled cuttlefish) isn't the same, because cuttlefish in the seas of the Philippines are different from those of the Mediterranean, and because it is stuffed with local vegetables, because of the dipping sauce, because of the greater emphasis on rice as a side-dish, etc.
