The pistol seems to be geared towards getting crits. Rifles and Machine guns seem fine, shotguns not so much. If the shotgun had way less spread maybe it'd be good. Look at how far these fucking pellets are going, at the range you'd actually hit them you'd probably be better off just using a melee.
