Wow, that's actually really poignant. I like this analogy. Ventriloquists often have problems with their minds personifying their creations too much that they sometimes feel they lose control and their character acts on its own. Puppeteers (especially ones that make their own puppets) can very easily accidentally make a tulpa like entity. And this particular video with the puppet's actors still being visible, it paints a picture of just what it's like to front. It's not like the host is gone completely, they just take a step back and let it play out.
