Visual Novels had this niche filled well enough, but were replaced with Gacha. And as such that tells you.. there's close to no market for this anymore.

Though even VNs haven't actually done a whole lot of sequels with the same girls. Maybe a fandisc, but that's that. But I think that's better anyways. When the story has been told.. overstaying your welcome seems silly.
