You're actually right, I didn't think that through, my bad. The problem is that I first thought about making part of a railway network with multiple stations on a single desk and the only way I could see of fitting all of that in would be to choose a scale that would make the wagons just a few mm. That would basically be a map with very small moving rectangles on it, which seems cute to me, but it's true that it wouldn't work for other vehicles and it would look pretty weird even for trains. Something more like 1:1000 would probably be more appropriate for tanks and things like that.

I understood that even normal 3D printers can use filaments of different colors in a single print, though I'm not sure how much accuracy and detail I can get, I'll look into it.
