So is eroding people’s faith what Jung would call erasure of hope?

Will those people end up in a desert without hope?

Will they gradually lose the capacity to hope for anything?

I think Adam’s erosion comes rather from a hope that the West will remember their own traditions and not another desert tradition.

It was a fun ride. Jesus would have been labeled as antisemitic by his contemporaries. But we are reminded that Jesus was a Jew.

And well also the West has such a diverse set of desert religions to choose from!
