This arc has reached the point where it has a similar structure to Control devil arc. A bellowed character everyone was invested in dies suddenly and unexpectedly, and that emotionally painful moment for the readers jumpstarts the showdown. In part 1 Power died to Makima, in Part 2 Denji died to Yoshida, only for Asa to weaponize him next chapter.

We know there's no other way to create stakes besides killing either Denji or Asa, because not a single other character was fleshed out or explored enough for the reader to care. And since Asa has plot armor, the only one who can be killed off for the stakes and shock value is Denji. It's pretty much over.
