>it's not a script and you don't need to "study" it
Whatever, if it's not obvious to the user what to do and how to change things, it's not user friendly.
If you have to search forums to make adjustments in a program, it's not a good nor user friendly program.

>I haven't because I'm not autistic. Like 99% of people, I just open a media file and it just works.
VLC works as well by just double clicking a video.
>Sounds like you should take your own advice
Never had to make any adjusttments to the video playing codecs and their respective settings. VLC works out of the box.
What i talk about is subtitle settings, audio settings and such. Much more convenient to have a UI in the settings menu than having to google scripts or command lines just to do the same.
>Maybe you should stop playing scuffed videos which require you to constantly change settings
>Maybe you should stop playing media on shit $30 devices which can't play a video without configuring something
These are not my words, but your intentionally false assumptions.
Stop projecting.
>I still haven't seen you explain what "settings" exactly would anyone ever need to change.
Doesn't really matter. Settings are settings and it's way easier for the user to be met by a UI where you can change settings to your liking.
But autists will never understand this.
