I talk abotu a usable UI that is there to adjust player settings. mpv wants you to adjust via commando lines and scripts, which is the most retarded way of doing it.

For what fucking reason should a sane person go frame by frame in a video player when playing a movie or video? If you're not totally wrecked in your head, you will never fell the need to do this. So you are complaining about a non-issue. But that's how autists do. They crybaby about shit that no one but them is interested in.

That's the reason I know that VLC can't properly do this but MPV can, because I was going frame by frame. Wanting to get the perfect frame to screenshot something or trying to look at something that's barely on screen is not that weird.

Also, there are settings that some want to change. My point is this can all be done via a structured UI in VLC, while mpv needs you to study informatics before you're able to change something.

I have taken screenshots of stuff in videos many times in VLC, and i never experienced artifacts preventing me from taking readable screenshots. So this is a non-issue.

Tell me one single reason, why someone with a life outside of the computer stuff should gooogle 10 minutes of his life, just to find a config when he can use VLC's settings UI?
It's so pointless to make people google every shit if you could spare people from this by providing a good UI.

VLC works as well by just double clicking a video.

>Sounds like you should take your own advice
Never had to make any adjusttments to the video playing codecs and their respective settings. VLC works out of the box.
What i talk about is subtitle settings, audio settings and such. Much more convenient to have a UI in the settings menu than having to google scripts or command lines just to do the same.

I agree, but because you only do it extremely infrequently (ideally only once) I think you're wrong for saying it's needed in the UI. It's nice to have, but no need to spend developer time on. It'll also bloat filesize etc. which some people would dislike, especially for something that can be fixed with a different frontend.

You're fucking kidding me right?
Every fucking TV has a UI and setup menu built in to adjust coloration, sound and other shit.

> ... or on your shitty Netflix client either.
What do i know about Netflix clients on devices.
But they have for sure a UI based menu to chose from their library, to put stuff on their "favorites-List" and other stuff.
So even there, you're wrong.
Imagine Netflix starting to strip their app from any UI, just to make their userbase/subscribers to rape google for settings they have to input, that could easily be made with a click of a button.
You now understand how idiotic the concept of "No-UI" is?

Conclusion:
VLC is the better player for white and mentally stable people.
