They show in one of the early chapters that all the Strawhats drink, even if only rarely for some of them. So I don't think Luffy is adverse to it, but Oda says Luffy will always prefer food. I think its right when they entered the grand line or something you see them all drinking from those mugs.

I don't think you can be a pirate and be entirely unable to drink, considering alcohol is what saved sailors a lot of sailors back in the day. Its safer than water, something about the process for making it makes it safer to keep around long term.
