Yoshi P, assuming if you can believe him, said it would take two or three years with the current systems in place. I believe that was back in 7.1? So, if we're going to get that system, the earliest would be right before 8.0 launch.

Yeah... I remember when Crystal formed, I remember the loud portion were whining they wanted to go back to their home DCs for raiding. It was a fucking headache and caused problems with the raiding scene on Crystal for a long time. Crystal eventually got a raiding scene, but Abyssos brought the cross-DC visit and nuked that completely into orbit with whatever was remained of their Party Finder.
