Oldfag here. I used my 48k credits to get whatever I was missing from the OW2 hero roster (voicelines and a handful of ugly legendaries), I got like 12 legendary drops from all my free boxes. Opened my legendary boxes first, then my epics, then my regulars. Seemed to give me better returns.
