Figured I might as well crosspost here in case someone has a clue what's going on

I'm running into a weird issue where I can't find the memory card files for an emulator in the file browser normally (even when turning on show hidden files), but when I use the memory cards selector in the emulator they show up in that window. I thought I could just copy them elsewhere from there but then I get an error message stating "This is no longer located in *folder*. Verify the item's location and try again"
I tried looking around online but can't find anything related to it
