>any quick tips for someone about to start Infinite Wealth?
Picture related is from my save file notes if you don't mind very light spoilers for when early party members unlock. The Dondoko thing is just for me to not 100% it again. I can feel I will.
EXP diminishing returns still exist like in 7 so you do hit hard caps in certain chapters you can't bypass when doing substories or the main story unless you do stuff like go to lower floors of the dungeons.
When it comes to the Hawaiian Haunt and Yokohama Underground dungeons do not do them when they unlock outside of maybe the first Sector at most. They just overlevel you and grant you Ichiban and Kiryu's 7* equips respectively as basic rewards while the miniboss and floor rewards on the later levels are some of the best in the game in some cases. Leave this more for PA because each one grants you 7* job equips on the later sectors from safes.
The Big Swell is meant to be done after you beat the game and go into PA but do not grind the final floor on Legend for EXP. Legend is balanced around you immediately going into it after you clear the Big Swell.
Don't bother with getting Sujimon from the gacha or savescumming, the rates increase with every gym completed so you're just rolling for like .1% odds to get a Kiwami when you can just do the raid later on to instantly recruit one for free when you hit level 35-40.
Maxing out everyone in Aloha Links does nothing. You get no reward for it outside of a notification in the app. The same applies to 8G. You only get rewards for registering everyone to the app either via food or Alohas.

>How well balanced are the jobs this time around?
Balancing in general is actually quite solid. There's a few bad or underwhelming jobs, some moves are still broken, and the EXP distribution is still poorly balanced but nothing like 7. Many jobs are better than the defaults unlike 7 and a job's worth is also determined by its 7* weapon and armor.
