I've been told that he was originally released along with the very introduction of the furnace. I think that some awakeners do interact with it a little bit in some obscure talent or another, but no others use it as much as him. Thinking of pumping his covenant set full of sigil and realm mastery to see how big the furnace can get. Getting 800+ hp or a big fucking 1000+ shield from his 2-cost from a full tank sounds nice.
