Japan is currently the 11th most populated nation, a heavily technological automated island which is not even allowed to have a military force and that just a decade ago was struggling with overcrowding. Why would they really NEED more people?
What says that the numbers will not just drop to a point and then stop? Then the government can just adjust itself to better cater to a smaller population
This "underpopulation" scare just feels weird to me because apparently even China is facing it? The SECOND most populated nation in the planet? The same country that literally made laws to counter overpopulation??
I don't see people saying that Greenland needs more babies, even with it being a vast acres of absolutely nothing with a few villages. They seem to be doing fine
