Capitalism as a system encourages the worst tendencies of humanity because things are done for the profit motive. Power is concentrated in the hands of an owner class that gets to do whatever they want with their ill-gotten wealth. It is inherently exploitive and the most cutthroat, soulless individuals climb the ladder because what is profitable is often at odds with what is best for society.

This silly line of argument unravels itself. What empathy is there in the boardrooms of Raytheon, Dow Chemical, and Northrop Grumman? What empathy is there in private healthcare? Is someone "jealous" for demanding everyone's needs get met because it means they too would no longer be suffering such indignities?

"Trade" - No. Markets are not capitalism. Capitalism is the relationship between owning-class and the working-class where the workers sell their labor for wages while the owners pocket the profits. Workers do everything but receive a tiny share of the reward and have no say in how a company is run. Markets predate capitalism by thousands of years.
"Voluntary" - No. The threat of homelessness and starvation is violence. No worker would choose the above-mentioned exploitive arrangement if they could choose.
"Individuals" - Half-correct. The alienated working class is deliberately fragmented and alienated. When they grovel for a job, they come as individuals. To say that a corporation fielding hires is the act of one individual meeting another individual is preposterous, as the power imbalance is massive. A necessary element of capitalism is a high unemployment rate, so as to have a reserve force of desperate workers willing to accept bad pay and poor conditions.
